H.2.8 Email Attachments

1.0    Policy Statement:
Large email attachments are the single largest factor driving email system performance over the network and a major driver of storage consumption. In addition, large email attachments are not accepted by many institutional email systems resulting in email not being delivered.

2.0    Size limit
The �黨�ǿ���Ƶ has established a limit on the size of email attachments to a total of 15MB per email.

2.1    Users needing to send files larger than this size to recipients outside of the �黨�ǿ���Ƶ can use the �黨�ǿ���Ƶ’s FTP system or a generic Internet file-share/file transfer system (e.g. DropBox, YouSendIt).

2.2    Users can share large files within the �黨�ǿ���Ƶ user community via the Zimbra Briefcase or generic Internet file transfer systems.
